The "Custom Cable" name is one of the oldest in UK head-fi retail (trading since 1985) but is now retired: the business rebranded to Audio Sanctuary in 2015-2016 and "Custom Cable" survives only as the name of Audio Sanctuary's in-house bespoke cable service. It shares premises and ownership with the older Unilet Sound & Vision hi-fi shop in New Malden.
UK personal-audio retailer and bespoke cable specialist that began in 1985 as a mail-order supplier of Hi-Fi cables, terminations and accessories, then grew into a headphones/IEM/portable-audio store while offering made-to-order custom cables and reterminations. It absorbed its sister headphonesdirect.uk operation (merged 2009) and, having outgrown the “Custom Cable” name, rebranded the business to Audio Sanctuary in 2015-2016. The standalone “Custom Cable” brand is retired; the business continues today as Audio Sanctuary, and “Custom Cable” now survives only as the name of Audio Sanctuary’s bespoke cable service.
