DITA Audio
Singapore, Singapore, Singapore · founded 2012
Won Singapore's President's Design Award (Design of the Year 2015) for "The Answer" IEM — the nation's highest design honor. Specializes in single-dynamic-driver IEMs (rather than multi-BA or multi-driver hybrids), a distinctive niche in the high-end market. Grew out of Packagers Pte. Ltd., a 1971-founded plastic-film packaging-machinery firm, applying industrial precision-engineering to audio.
DITA Audio is a Singaporean boutique manufacturer of high-end in-ear monitors (IEMs) and audiophile cables, known for its focus on single-dynamic-driver earphones and industrial-design craftsmanship. Founded around 2012 by Danny Tan (a mechanical engineer) and Desmond Tan (from a family high-end audio retail/distribution background), the brand grew out of / operates under Packagers Pte. Ltd., a Singapore plastic-film packaging-machinery company incorporated in 1971, leveraging that group’s automation and precision-engineering expertise. DITA designs and tests prototypes in-house at its Singapore HQ, which includes a dedicated music room used as a reference tuning system.
