GoerTek
Weifang, Shandong, China · founded 2001
GoerTek is a behind-the-scenes giant of the personal-audio world: alongside Knowles it supplies most of the industry's MEMS microphones, and as a top contract manufacturer (with Luxshare) it assembles a large share of AirPods, plus TWS earbuds, gaming headsets, and VR/AR devices for Apple, Sony, Meta, Google, and Samsung. It also owns high-end hi-fi brand Dynaudio (acquired 2014).
GoerTek is a large Chinese acoustic-components maker and electronics ODM/OEM. It is one of the world’s two largest MEMS microphone suppliers (roughly 28% share, behind Knowles) and a major maker of micro-speakers and receivers. As a contract manufacturer it assembles true-wireless earbuds, headsets, and VR/AR devices for major consumer brands, so its components and assembly work sit inside a large share of the personal-audio products sold under other companies’ names. Founded in June 2001 in Weifang, Shandong, it has been publicly listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (ticker 002241) since May 2008 and employs tens of thousands of people.
