Started as a software company: the HiBy Music high-res app and HiBy OS were licensed to other DAP makers (e.g. Cayin's i5) before HiBy built its own players. HiBy (HiBy Music / HiBy Digital) is a Chinese personal-audio manufacturer specializing in portable digital audio players (DAPs), dongle DAC/amps, and in-ear monitors, along with its widely-used HiBy OS audio operating system. Founded by software/electrical engineers Fanoble Meng (Co-Founder & CEO) and Rick Wong, the company began as a software house building the HiBy Music high-res playback app and licensing HiBy OS to other DAP brands (e.g. Cayin), then moved into its own hardware. Its R-series (R3/R4/R6/R8) and R2R-based RS-series DAPs, the lifestyle-oriented HiBy Digital M-series, FC-series dongle DACs, and Zeta/Yvain IEMs span budget to summit-fi price points. Headquartered in Dongguan, Guangdong, with a US office in Lewes, Delaware.
