Rinaro Isodynamics

Kraków, Lesser Poland (with manufacturing/R&D in Lviv, Ukraine), Ukraine / Poland · founded 2014

Co-developer of the Isodynamic Hybrid Array — the planar-magnetic driver at the heart of every Meze Audio flagship (Empyrean, Elite, Liric, Poet). A rare case of a behind-the-scenes driver supplier that is publicly credited by name and has become a marketing asset for the brand it supplies. Cold War / Soviet-era acoustics lineage; drivers are hand-assembled in Lviv, Ukraine.

Rinaro Isodynamics is an acoustic-engineering company specializing in high-resolution planar-magnetic transducers. Its roots trace to a state-funded electro-acoustics research program in the USSR (today’s Ukraine) during the Cold War, and the team has worked on planar magnetics since the 1980s; the current company entity dates to 2014. Rinaro developed the proprietary Isodynamic Hybrid Array driver technology — the first dual-shaped voice-coil array in a planar-magnetic headphone — which it co-developed with and supplies exclusively to Meze Audio for that brand’s flagship headphones (Empyrean, Elite, Liric, Poet). Rinaro handles the driver R&D and hand-assembly (Lviv, Ukraine) while Meze designs everything around the driver. The company reports 25 proprietary technologies and 61 international patents filed, with an EMEA HQ in Kraków, Poland and regional offices in Hong Kong, Encino (California), and London.
