Rosson Audio Design

Reseda, California, United States

Founded by Alex Rosson, co-founder and former CEO of Audeze (which he co-founded in 2008 with Sankar Thiagasamudram and left at the end of 2015). Before Audeze he spent nearly a decade as a mastering engineer at Technicolor and worked as a musician/engineer in LA studios. Rosson Audio's lab in Reseda is a facility Rosson originally built for Shinola and later acquired. The RAD-0's artisan planar design earned strong critical acclaim as a summit-fi debut.

Boutique US planar-magnetic headphone maker founded by Alex Rosson, co-founder and former CEO of Audeze. Each headphone is hand-built in Reseda, California around a proprietary 66mm planar-magnetic transducer (an 11-magnet N52 dual-sided array), with heavy emphasis on artisan aesthetics (customizable stabilized-wood, Micarta and gemstone rings) and rigorous per-unit burn-in and channel-matching. The company is small, self-funded, and independently owned by Rosson.
